"It seems as though I have some business to attend to, sorry to cut this short but it may be a while before I am in the area again." He said as picked up his pack and started walking west. "Till we meet again, may you live till then." Varlomyr said as he walked into the underbrush.

Hakuri walked forward past a hut, past a another hut with a shop accross from it and though another cluster of trees. She walked untill she was at the based of a towering mountain. Staring up at it she could see no end. She sat and began to look though her pack and at her armor, checking that she had all she needed to get at least close to her destination. Looking in her bottles niether were full but both had enough to keep her alive long enough, even if she couldn't travel at night. She sighed and tossed an unlit torch to the ground, then rumaged though her pack.

Hakuri smiles as she pulls a glowing stick from her pack. It's not hot, nor does it flickering. It is magic? Hakuri pays it no mind, magic or not. Shining it ahead there is a wall. She sheaths her weapons, and puts the stick in her mouth trying to make it shine in the direction she was heading, up. Hakuri reaches up with both hands, finding good hand-holds, and puts her feet on the wall, they slip. Hakuri opens her hands and stands back up. Taking a few steps back she examines the wall, runs towards it, and struggles to get both hands and feet gripped. Reaching up with her left hand she grabs a new rock. Her left foot comes up in search of a higher foot hold. Hakuri finds one and shifts her wieght to her left foot slowly, the rock crumbles and she tries to fix her mistake but her right foot falls too. Now dangleing by her hand she plants both her feet on sturdy rocks, closer to her hands, and searches upward for a higher place for her right hand. Bit by bit Hakuri climbs up and reaches a temperary flat. She sighs and follows the steep path.

Hakuri reaches a cross roads, she can either head east or west, chooseing east she continues on the path climping up then north a bit. Another crossroads. Here it appears that the top on the mountain is not far, and that perhaps this is as far up as any human or demon can travel. She strolls east, happy to beable to stop climbing. Then, smalls asosiated with melted rock burn at her eyes and other sences. She snarls, having forgotten about this unplesantness. Sighing Hakuri remembers how awfull her travels and lack of clothes changing made he smell. Scowling she turns south, found the bath furthest from the road and checked around. For now it was all empty. but her gaze had turned to a glare.
She removed her weapons, sheathes and sash placing them next to the water. Next were her helmet, gloves, boots, necklaces, mask, and anklets. She quickly checked the other bathes and the road, still no one else. Standing at the edge of the bath she took off her socks and the top layer of leggings. She began to make a low growl as she took them off. Looking around she dipped her feet in and sat on the cool stones. She peeled off a few layers of body armor, glareing intently around as she did so. She hopped in still wearing a body wrap, a layer of body armor, and leggings but clearly uncomfortable. Gradually she allowed herself to sink down so that the water was up to her lower neck. She had her hair up so it wasn't wet though.

Climbing up from the inside of the bone eater well, Varlomyr stretched out and looked around. Rummaging around in his pack, Varlomyr noticed he was low on food. "Seems I need to get some more food, I feel like getting something from Kaede's village." He said as he started to head south.

After purchasing the food he needed for his journey, Varlomyr decided to head back to panther valley to relax. -Panther Valley is starting to seem more like my home with how often i go there, atleast the fish and sake are excellent!- He thought as he disappeared in a blur east, away from kaede's village. -Using shunpo really cuts down on travel time, but it can really make one tired from excessive use.- Was what came across his mind as he passed the village at the foot of the mountain north of the Forbidden Forest. Coming to a stop he looked up the mountain -I can't use shunpo to go up cause of all the twists and turns along the way.- and with that thought he started climbing. About midway up the mountain he turned east toward the springs and the route to Panther Valley. Stopping short of the springs he set down his pack and started to rummage through it, pulling out a wood log and his food supplies along with a gourd of water, he began preparing his camp site for his resting spot.

Listening intently Hakuri wondered what and who she had heard on the path. The sound persisted. The water began to splash as she twisted and turned uncomportably wanting the person to leave without coming over, but not wanting to alert anyone to her presence. She had made a few enemies and this was not a comportable place for her to be seen. The armor and leg pags begining to weaigh her down she knew getting out would be a loud splash as the water drained itself from the cloth. Tips of her hair got wet as she tried to descide between sinking lower and climbing out.

Finally getting the fire going, Varlomyr started roasting some of the meat he had brought along. As he was getting out the rice balls he heard some water splashing nearby in the spring, after getting some of the apples he picked out of the tree at kaede's village and setting them up he finally spoke. "Well if you have nothing better to do then sit in there, then perhaps you can come out and greet your fellow traveler." He yelled as he turned the meat over the fire. He reached into his pack and withdrew a small dagger, just in case whoever it was spoiled his lunch.

Hakuri's heart sank as she heard the person speak, not what was she to do? She was soaked, her lower layers of armor and clothes soaked, and her more protective armor and all her weapons were just out of easy reach. She sighed her mouth under the water , knowing she had no towel or dry garments to change into. Looking down into the now brownish water she stared at what little she wore and wondered what to do as if waiting for it to tell her. She growled at herself after a minute or two, it's wasn't like she was naked at the moment, even if it felt the same. Pouting she climbed out of the water, wringing her armor and trying to squish water out of her body wrap. There was a splash and she climbed out, as water drained from her leggings. Sighing she rolled her hair to the top of her head then covered it with her helmet. Choosing only two of her many sheaths she attached one to her waist and the other over her back. Then gathering up her other stuff trying to not get them wet she stashed them out of sight and tentivly, while trying to not look it, stepped barefoot into the path. She gave a short nod wondering if he would reconized her if he saw her in a furture date in full armor, she hoped not.

Taking the meat from off the fire, Varlomyr turned and looked at the person coming over. -A girl? Wonder what her objective is out here.- He thought as he sniffed the air, finally catching her scent among the spring and food. He took his dagger and cut off a chunk of the meat and laid it on a bowl of rice, so some of the flavor would seep into it. "Feel free to sit by the fire and dry yourself, you will catch cold at this rate." he said sweeping his hand toward a spot on the opposite side of the fire. "So what brings you this far out?" He said as he took a drink from his gourd. Putting some rice in another bowl, he took his dagger and cut another strip of meat and placed it on the rice, offering it to his guest.

She nodded, wondering even with her hair in her helmet if he chould tell she was a girl. Causiously, watching his dagger, sat across from him near the fire. She shrugged when he asked why she was this far out, but in her mind she wasn't that far from the main gathering village. Tentivly taking the plate Hakuri set in in her lap. She wasn't used to such nice food, only even simple food when she found some as she traveled. Demon meat never settled in her stomache well. Looking down at the plate she wondered if such nice looking food chould possibly be demon, it didn't matter it was her poor cooking skills that make demon meat repulsive. Lifting the meat with the tips of her right-hand fingers she brought it to her mouth and bit returing it to the plate. It was tender and not dry. It was nice. Her mouth simled a bit a she chewed.

Kagomaru was wandering through the forest, near the river's bank...He had been so focused on training that he forgot all about food...The faint smell of a cooking fire and fried meat enticed him...His solitary nature was always a bit of an impediment when it came to meeting new people although he had many friends in this world he arrived in so long ago...He started walking towards the fire...At least he'd have a fire to cook on if not any food...He hoped to see a friendly face too...the weeks of battle took their toll on one's body and mind...He was deep in thought as ever as to who could be out this far from civilization...

Looking at his guest he saw the smile on her face "Glad you like the food." he said as he had a sudden flare of recognition. "You, I have met you before a couple weeks ago....your name was....hakuri wasn't it?" he said as he took a bite of meat from his plate and chomped on it. "I am surprised I didn't recognize your scent from earlier, since we had meet in the forbidden forest earlier, maybe its cause I meet so many people." He said with a shrug. He looked through his pack again to double check his inventory of goods, after doing that he leaned back against a rock with his plate in hand and resumed eating.

She blushed looking down at her plate when he reconized her. Hakuri wasn't one to travel in anything less than full armor. She took another bite, smaller this time, her gaze moving into the ashes wathing the flames sit on and move them. She froze, quietly slid her plate to the ground beside her and slowly rose from her spot, staying low but still trying to survey her surroundings. Her right arm twitched, but instead of drawing a dagger she vanished, reappearing in a blur near where she had hidden her belongings.

(OOC: hope your around a bit more kagomaru)

Looking over to where hakuri was he thought -What is the rush, she is pretty jumpy it seems.- as finished his first helping of food. He took his dagger and cut some more meat off the roast and got another bowl of rice. Then he caught a scent that he recognized moving closer to the area. -It certainly has been a long time since I have come back to the feudal era, wonder how everyone is doing.- He thought at the memory of the scent.
