Post subject: Announce: Rules and Expectations
PostPosted: May 12th, 2013, 8:01 pm
This was a gnote posted on the Announce gboard on port 1801. It was addressed to all and expires on Thu Jul 11 20:54:30 2013

I didn`t think I needed to remind people of this, because I felt it to
be obvious. We are a MUD in its Alpha stages. This is one of the earliest
testing stages a game can be in. We`ve been active for years, but surely
we`ve made progress. However, just because we are here to play, test and
have fun, it doesn`t mean we do NOT have rules. We DO. And they are all
listed out for you. Upon using `pledge oath` to begin your adventure and
testing, you vow that you read and understood the rules, and that you were
willing to abide by them. Rules can be trivial and sometimes hard to
understand, but we, as the staff of the MUD, try to make it as simple as
possible for each and every one of you to grasp and understand them. If
there is ever a question in regards to them, all one needs to do is just
ask.

When an immortal tells you to stop doing -anything-. Talking. Arguing.
Even playing. You do that. It is as simple as that. Being here is a
PRIVILEDGE and to be allowed to continue, all you need to do is abide. We
won`t ask you to do anything irrational or be over-the-top mean. But if
you fail to abide and adapt, there are going to be problems. This,
however, isn`t just limited to the MUD, but also our Forums.

We have codes of conduct and expectations that everyone must follow. There
really are no exceptions. And last but not least, if there is a problem
with anything -I- do, or ANYONE ELSE in our staff that isn`t ZENO, you take
it DIRECTLY to ZENO and SPEAK to HIM about it. You don`t throw a fit and
try to battle it out with an admin just to try and make a point. That will
NEVER end to your favor. Simple as that.

With all of that said, I recommend everyone tries to freshen up on the
rules and remind yourselves of what it is that each of you are here for,
exactly.

Onto another subject briefly; Zeno and myself have some real life
activities goin on in the coming weeks that may keep us from developing
more content for you. However, you can expect new content from me in as
little as a month. Thank you all, and happy Mudding.

-Alexander Leon
