I'm just curious as to what every skill has in effect to the "casting" of the Kidou abilities.

I know that the skills themselves' percentage effects the success rate. As for Kidou, I've notice it can "fail" when the actual skill itself succeeds (resulting in it giving you a message about a small increase in the Kidou skill from failing AND another about an increase in the skill itself). I also know that 100% in Kidou allows skipping of chanting for a lowered efficiency.

So, what do Kidou and Hadou/Bakudou do/add onto the skills? Does it effect damage? Hitrate? Speed? Or does it not do anything at all?

Hitrate depends on the spell. There is no speed change (aside from skipping incantations and smaller chants). So yes, one thing it affects is damage. If kidou/hadou/bakudou fails and the spell succeeds, the spell should still cast though.
