Post subject:  Bleeding

Ok, Zeno hasn't started a subject about it, so I will :P

Ok, starting off, Bleeding is were someone can hit you and start you bleeding, this will, in turn, cause you to lose health until the wound is A)Healed or B)naturally goes away.

Me and Sato were sparring and he ended up killing me

Which got us on the subject of bleeding. What if you could have Nofinish stop bleeding. (Player vrs. Player only) :/

If its plausible.

It's unrealistic. If you're hitting someone with your full might, they're gonna bleed. Even if you don't plan on finishing them off.

Remember this is not all you'll see. I'm sure there will be some wound healing spells later on.

For humans or Demons too?

It might be a kidou. Which means everyone (since Shinigami will be for all races).

wait wait, to spar with config +nofinish you will still die from bleeding? what's the point then in config +nofinish then?

[EDIT]
Possible fix: Bleeding gets you to normal -1, but will slowly continue to -2 -3 .. to -5, once the time to pass -5 you die. making from -1 to -4 easily able for someone else to stop the bleeding and/or aid them.

You could make bleeding depend on the severity of the last hit. For example, if the hit that drops you to zero only did around fifty damage, it could only stun you, allowing the opponent to finish you off at their leisure; this wouldn't have much impact on pks or mobs as they could kill you immediately after you were knocked unconcious.

However, if the final hit did more damage, say five hundred or something, you would be knocked unconcious and begin bleeding to death, losing one hit point every few seconds. Upon reaching negative ten, you die. Bleeding could only be prevented by a command, let's say bandage "player" which would halt the bleeding process and enable the player to regenerate health at the same rate the bleeding drained it, until they reached zero and would heal normally. This could prevent accidental deaths in sparring, as well as allowing grouped players the chance to say an ally from death.

The point of nofinish is what it used to be, to not finish someone off. Stop the spar and heal the wounds before you get too close to death, it's pretty obvious. That would be how a real spar worked too.

That's what I'm saying, bow with bleeding, is there any point to use config +nofinish?

"bow with bleeding"? I don't understand. And I just explained the point of nofinish.

i think that hanyou and youkai should bleed at a slower rate in any case, cause of their demonic regen and as we see in the anime for the most part neither bleed that much when wounded.

There will indeed be a trait for less wounds.

Sorry I ment now. Now with bleeding is there any point in using config +nofinish if you impair the person but they would still die from the effect of bleeding.

Like I said, yes. Nofinish hasn't changed. Remember that you will not always bleed.

well it has offically nullified shards in the neck i noticed. so what is going to happen with shards in the neck?

Author:  Zeno [ January 3rd, 2007, 8:58 pm ]
Post subject:

It shouldn't. You should get a bonus regen for shards, and then lose HP for bleeding. The bonus regen shouldn't just be gone.
[EDIT] Ah, I see what you mean now. Fixed.
