It would be awesome if we could buy or rent safe deposit boxes at a bank. Like apartments, they would allow us to store items, but they would have a limited capacity.

Maybe along with a maximum capacity they would have a thing so that only small items would 'fit' like you could stuff sashes, gloves, small hats and jewlery( and shards ) into it but not a helmet or weapon, but maybe one dagger...

I'm pretty sure apartments make anything like this useless.

Not useless to players who never had an opportunity to get an apartment.

How about a Rolfing studio where one could pay 10,000 yen to get their posture tweaked, and gain an inch in height? It would be a purely cosmetic/fun effect, like the hair dye and eye-color-change shops.

We'll probably have something for weight/height changing. I was thinking the more you eat, the more weight you gain. But that's probably too much. I may just allow setting of each.

Please don't make them arbitrarily settable. It would be more fun if something off-the-wall (perhaps a silly quest to find a magic mushroom?) must be done to adjust up or down a little bit at a time. Then players will have another little diversion/game to play if they want, but they can skip it if they're not interested.

When training on bank guards it might be handy to have a deposit box, but with a bunch of restrictions. Perhaps they would be robable just like the yen in the bank vault.

Special shoes for hieght and wieghts to increase you weigh and slow you down but also to increase vig and agi/end gains? (I doupt both agi(leg) and end(anywhere) though, and vig if you have arm wieghts)

If safe deposit boxes could be plundered, then there would be no point in having them, because they would certainly be plundered and nobody would use them because of that fact.

It seems that bank accounts for storing one's yen are (for now, at least) the only security that players have, since everything else can and will be taken away by players who have the advantage of having been around longer.

(I'm not criticizing the game, just making an observation.)

Apts can be plundered and a box that is just for training or sorting though you inventory is safer than droping the items. If the boxes have a key then the thief could steal it but not open it until they get your key.

I was imagining the boxes as something that couldn't be removed from the bank. But I'll stop discussing them since the idea was shot down.

I know apartments can be plundered, but at least they have the advantage that a player can seek privacy/shelter in their apartment and not have to be on high alert for others out to PK them.

Just be non lethal.
