I suggest that we could set the shop price for some items to be shards, since in a way this is also a form of currency and it would make it fair for some of the harder to get items to be sold, such as oh red rune swords and the like.

I don't think I'd want to hardcode giving shards, it could cause too many problems and people would seek to abuse it.

Like by killing the shopassistants? Or if the shards flew to the owner's hand, for PK? right?

You can't kill shop assistants. I'm talking about forcing PK or the sort.

Perhaps the room that has the shop set into it to be a no PK room though that too could bring about abuse...

He means how the yen is given directly to the player, it just appears in thier hands. That could be used to force lethal to PK the person.

Why not just have shards used to buy things stay on the assistant untill the player takes the assistant to a safe place to retrieve the shards?

the shop assistant needs to have increased inventory space, massive increase. i just gave it the cart and that is all it could hold, then i had it unfold it, gave it another item, inserted it, and then another, inserted it. And then it couldnt hold any more items, even though they were all in the cart and none in its inventory it could not take anymore items. i find this to be a major problem.
