I think some things should change regarding to health regeneration w/o shards. When you get higher levels and have health that is 2500+, regeneration gets really rediculous. If things were supposed to be even aslightly realistic, a bigger person with that much health should recover just as fast as a smaller person with little health. The way it is you are implying the bigger you are, the longer it takes you to recover from damage...
SO perhaps the amount of health you regenrate should also be infuenced by a percentage of your total health, for example if you have 4000 health, you can regenrate 10% of it +con bonus a tick without a shard.
That would mean around 450 hp a tick, which would make it easier for peopl to get out there and fight and find shards rather than spending a large amount of their time trying to heal.
So in a nutshell, I feel that the health regenerations, while sleeping near a fire, should be: 10%(total health)+(con bonus). When sleeping regularily it should be 6%, and when walking around 3%.
So it's not so hard on new plyers with only 400 health or so, the percent thing should start when the player gets 1500 health (cause avg regen is about 150, 10% of 1500)
I may have made this a little confusing but i think you should get the gist...
