I think there should be different newbie starts based on that character's creation choices.
Human village
Hanyou village
Youkai village
Citizens
et cetra.

I also think a little more should be given to new players with maybe a personal story or quest. For example, they find out that shard they found, or was given to them, is fake. I think these ideas would greatly affect the game.

You start in different areas depending on your race and subrace. Everyone goes through the same tutorial.

We have a story in help story, but it won't progress until we finish alpha.

AND I know you have a story in help story, but i said their own personal story to help them get started.
So what if your game is good, if no one can get past(or wants to) get past the first part?

Everyone can get past the first part. If they don't want to, well that's their problem. We're in alpha and I expect all our alpha testers to know how to play the game.

My comment was concerning what should possibily be done because we are in alpha; I was trying to create a perspective. This didn't have anything to do with the alpha testers getting through the initial learning stage. It is about making an immersive beginning for new players to enjoy and get in the game. I thought it would be nice for them to have a personal storyline in the beginning and tutorial for each race. The different tutorials could still teach the same instructions.

What do you think? Do think this would help the players understand and be more comfortable with the game in the beginning? btw, this is just an idea, it can be mixed up, twisted, etc.

I have no problem with that and would consider it if we had more builders to handle it.

The only concern is that right now it's pretty much straight forward yet people still have issues getting through it. Throwing a story they interact with would only confuse them more.
