(Note: All from the same fight.)
*You jump at a tempest gladiator, yelling 'Sankon Tetsusou', and rip him up, with your sharp claws!
*A tempest gladiator hits you! He does 395 points of damage.
A tempest gladiator mutters 'Dokkasou' and her claws extend, cutting into you!
A tempest gladiator's dokkasou jolts you! He does 18 points of damage.
*You jump at a tempest gladiator, grasping his arm, and drain his health!

Has to be something with the skill Dokkasou, itself.

or the gladiator might be neutral gender maybe?
