Hm? Sense arms affect punch and vigor. Legs should affect both agi and kick.
Hands +damroll and feet +hitroll or dodge

You block with your arms, Punch could be fist by hardening your hand. Seriously, if you are hitting a brick wall you aren't going to hit as hard as you would a pillow.

How about shards in the hand increasing gripping power, lessening the chance of being disarmed?

Perhaps shards in the hand could also allow one to "chop" without an axe, with the success rate increasing with the number of shards.

At a certain vig or number of shards you could 'grab person' and you might miss, grab a fist if they punch, grab a leg if they kick ect and then paralize that ankle/wrist and hand/foot until they heal but crushing a bone?

This is why I have issues with tv-based or book-based games, there is no human way to get even close to the versatility if the story wasn't made specifically to be created into a game in even 5 generations of teams working on the game.

sadly it seems there is not enough in the game to have a use for shards in the hand right now, only thing i can come up with right now is that it should increase pugilism damage(bare fisted fighting) or some race based skills which shards are suppose to be general skills that everyone has that are not class based or based on something specific that everyone cant have. while increasing bare fisted damage would be nice, also you may be able to have it increase inventory space but hey there are packs for that, there is not much else that can go for shards in the hand at this point, i sit here every time i look and see nothing new posted here and try to think. with the current conditions for ideas for shards in any place are that they have to be something all races have, cant be class skills, cant be element based, and have to have something to do with that specific body part. there isnt enough to give to it, then again feet only increase kick power so i guess one can go with shards in the hand increasing bare fist attacks(attacks with no weapon).

Why not just make shards in arms +1 vig
shards in hands + dmg to punch

just like Shards in legs give +1 to agi and shards in feet give + dmg to kick..
I never really understood the concept of that..if you punch with your arm and not ur hand then wouldn't you kick with your legs and noth your foot?

but it's normally the hand and feet that make the contact so that would be adding damage...

One thing they could do is maybe increase the rate you get back chi/jakai?
Just like shards in the neck do with health...
Or they could increase the accuracy of spells and keeps them from messing up as much?

Because sometimes when people cast spells, they do hand signs, so I just thought...

Just my idea...

*EDIT: They could maybe also increase intelligence... I don't know how intelligence is related to your hand, but Shards cant raise intelligence yet, so that would be nice...*
