I don't think containers in the room should come before the containers in your inventory. I guess I need a reason to convince why this shouldn't be. That would be because if I look in a bag and decide I want to drop it I will end up dropping one of my bags. (okay.. why do I have an empty bag, I am going to drop this bag, when you are looking in the bag on the ground..)
Very simply, drop, look, and get aren't parallel.

One thing that's great is the gigantic pack in the arena... It's only a few bronze tokens but it really helps, at least in your inventory.
And if you go back to your appy and have a ton of bags+packs in there but you only have one gigantic in your inventory and you "l in gigantic' you'll see exactly what you want to see.

Yes I am sure the gigantic pack helps. It's gigantic. But when one buys stuff from a shop they can get it in bags.
The main problem is looking into a bag, or trying to get something from a bag. Then there is nothing in it. Then you junk it but you end up junking the wrong bag.
I think that is confusing enough to change it.

I agree that it should be changed-but have you tried using safejunk?

I do use safejunk. This is just something I ran across that I think is problematic. I first ran across it buying drinks and drinking (or trying to).
Yeah, safejunk and safedispose are very handy.
I think junk, drop, and get (inside a bag) should all be parallel. That is, refer to the same item.

I would really appreciate a response to bug and perhaps idea postings.

Containers in a room have to take priority over those in the inventory of a player. This is most common because of quests, area content and such that may call for it. Hence why the code is the way it is. Though I am familiar with the fact that SOME containers do not show the contents of an item you are carrying until you leave a room which has the same type of container on the ground.

The best way to solve/counter this is by utilizing the following commands (as examples):

Syntax: look in bag
Syntax: look in 2.bag

So on.

Issue 1) look in bag
and
junk bag
do not correspond to the same bag.

Although, I find bags in rooms taking priority annoying.

Issue 2) (I think Alex mentioned this) In an apartment -I don't know how this works outside of apartments- you can't 'look' at/in holding containers in your inventory
and you can't get stuff from holding containers in your inventory.. while their in your inventory.
Well, this is how it is for the owner of the apartment. Just to make things more specific.
