It kept me studying after I followed the mob and when I was done studying it just said "you can't study here." May or may not cause problems/allow players to cheat??
My other idea was to make studying exclusive to sitting and resting. I know that in real life, I can't read a book standing up! I have to be sitting or lying down, and I haven't met anyone who walks around (or just stands around) reading. Secondly, it prevents stuff like the above happening and as long as you have config -drag on people can't remove you from a room by accident/without your consent (ex. you're in a group with someone, following them and they get up in the shinj library to get another book and you accidentally follow them).
Err...maybe the ability to do other things could be okay? Like drinking or eating when studying (or at least if you're not in a library...)
