Should a blinded victim have less of a chance to dodge and parry?
I think they should. I feel certain it isn't like this yet.

Hitroll is reduced when a (N)PC becomes blinded becomes blinded. Hitroll determines a number of things. Hit chance and avoidance fall in that category. The only reason you cannot tell much of a difference is because of how minor the debuff is.

Ah, I was unsure if hitroll did indeed affect dodge and parry. Thought for sure it was just levels and agility and skill. My idea/suggestion then is that the debuff be stronger.

I disagree.

I think that the penalty is just fine as it is.

I am legally blind in reality, and speaking from experience I can tell you that a blind person, with training, would be able to do just as well, or damn near it. They may do things differently, but it still gets done.

Now, for someone who is untrained in dodge or parry, blind or not, they won't be able to do it at all. However, I've met many blind martial artists and they can hang with the best sighted combatants in their respective areas.

So, I think the penalty is currently reasonable and shouldn't be increased. I realize it's a fictional mud, but come on let's not get that far off of reality!

Someone who isn't used to being blind would have a considerably more difficult time.
Doing what those blind martial artists do is a major accomplishment. Dodging and parrying and then not getting hit the next attack is difficult.
besides the debuff is incredibly low.
You know, this issue is about those mobs who aren't used to being blind.

The penalty is there. Remember, with great power, skills and training, you can overcome anything. For most high level players, the penalty induced upon them via dark missile is almost insignificant. Whereas to a low level player, it basically renders them useless. (Usually higher stats are the major contributing force behind the significance of this skill. Higher agility and level would make the penalty of dark missile feel like a mosquito bite.)
