You are referring to the second part after you acquire the weapon?

If you already acquired the empowered tachi sword (with the red color scheme), then you should already have the ability to shatter the barrier in the Sawakami Region. Use the proper syntax at the barrier to shatter it. (It will only work if the barrier is not shattered and present.)

It won't work, I don't have the skill although I have the empowered sword. There is one more thing you have to do after you get the empowered to get break barrier but it appears to not work.

I looked into the quest chain, and the village elder is heavily involved with this quest chain. I urge you to seek him. If issues still continue, please contact me via a personal message on the forums.

The issue was finally discovered and has been resolved. It will be fixed once a copyover for this area is applied.

Do area reboots show up on the wholist?

Area reboots? Do you mean area resets? Or copyovers? Either way, no. They do not.
