Have it so Good aligned can't embed tainted shards till they are purified and vice versa.

Me:
Make it so if you get a shard off an evil mob its tainted, good its pure, and neutral its neutral.
If the shard is more of a given alignment than the player is it will move them towards it. Ex:Full evil shard and someone not fully good it slowly alters their alignment towards evil faster than the person alters. Full Evil shard and someone just got evil align it move them towards evil.

Possible additional shard effects:
Head: #shards effects how far you can see with survey, + chi/jakai regen
Legs: #shards effects how far you can run or how much stamina is spent moving around
Hands: #shards effects strenght of your grip on your weapon on all players reguardless of grip skill or not, chance of grabbing dropped shards
Shoulders: #shards increases chance of dodging
Torso: + stamina regen

Well basicly If one was to embed a shard into their shoulder or back/torso one would be able to fight longer and feel less pain. Perhaps it could add a small ammount of Armor and Hp. Thus making you feel less pain (Armor) and fight to lower health.(Max hp).

Additonal shard affects.
Feet: # Shards effect dex/dodge and strength of kicks also.
Hands: # Shards (kinda like dias') Stronger grip on weapon and damage added with weapons. Since it's also how strong your wrists are.
Arms: # Shards Strong weapon swings and + to parry
Torso: # Shards Max hp, max stamina and added armor

Let the shard align itself with the wielder. When one obtains a shard, allow them to attune the shard to their alignment. When shards are embedded without attuning them, their effectiveness is decreased.

A good guy with evil shards gets few bonuses compared to a good guy with good shards.

Thats awfully complicated... I would think that a shard's alignment would tug a person's alignment in its direction over time. Maybe thats how alignment could be done. Choose a starting alignment, have your killing affect your alignment slowly, but if you use several tainted shards, it can slowly shift it towards evil every 3 ticks or so. And shard's alignment could be changed with one of the religious classes. It could be shifted towards the alignment of the person that purifys or taints the shard. It shouldn't have any statistical changes on the user other than alignment in my opinion. But hey, suggest away. These are all good ideas.

*shrugs* Killing hookers? I ment more of a standard alignment system with shards dropping from mobs with their alignment.

hehe i personaly would like it if the taint makes the malos in the shard activate and powers your charater example ((1234/hp 1245/stanima 5321 jaika, you taint the shard, the power of the shard increases by ten fold , embed torso (8543/hp 8543/stanima 9653 jaika like 2 or 4 minutes after (1hp/1stanima/1 jaika YOU ARE LETHAL. and cant remove the shard til you get full health 8)
