So, basically, characters could rp, or do non-experience-gaining gameplay, and while doing so, their experience gain modifier would increase. It would gradually go down as they gain experience.

This could easily qualify as an RPR (Roleplay Reward). I've seen systems that award (at the discretion of an Immortal - mainly RP Admin) RPP or Role Play Points which can be used to redeem a set amount of things from an extensive list. From EXP Boosts, to items (cosmetic or otherwise.) There are a number of problems with this, however:

1.) We'd require a Roleplay Administrator to oversee Roleplay, administer RPP and be available for RPP redemptions.
2.) Zeno (as far as I recall), is a firm believer that RP should be encouraged but not rewarded.

I am personally for an RPP system. It would give players incentive to explore the subtle and unknown aspect of MUDs and MMOs which is Roleplay. Making this MUD more than just a simple PVE/PVP MUD. But all the same, I am not 100% for rewarding players, either.

I was thinking it would be a new subsection. I know there are many already, but this could be relly cool. Maybe Coordinate with Direlda for a video or podcast to start each thread.  Man that was january?


