EQUIPMENT DAMAGE NEEDS TO BE TONED DOWN

THERE IS NO REASON YOU CAN GIVE ME THAT WOULD JUSTIFY THIS RETARDED SYSTEM OF EQUIPMENT DAMAGE

Slowly but surely, I've been reworking how equipment damages and breaks in MUD. Not to say that stops equipment from getting damaged, but it will change the meaning behind it. In example, most of the equipment that is worth while, or rare, will either NOT break or NOT get damaged. That depends entirely on the item itself, but those options are there.

Unfortunately, equipment damage cannot be altered. It works as intended and any change to that would require changes elsewhere. As previously explained, damage to equipment takes place any time you get hit with an attack of about 16 (roughly) or so damage, or higher. So yes, it doesn't take much for equipment to get damaged. But there are ways you can avoid it:

- Acquire more agility is your primary method. With more agility, you will be able to dodge and parry attacks.

- Max out (or acquire) the skills: Dodge and Parry. Equipment cannot get damaged if you dodge or parry an attack.

- Don't wear equipment. It is not mandatory after all. The bonuses are nice, but often, the items that don't grant many bonuses you can usually live without. The items that do grant bonuses will often provide the flags that prevent them from either breaking or taking damage.

I see nothing like that in the corpse.

Those items are unbreakable and DO NOT need to be repaired.
Stack equipment underneath them and you never have to repair a damn thing. EVER

Nothing is going to be changed other than what is planned, Severina. And that is pretty much the bottom line. Sorry.
