1) Dokkasou inflicts poison and accumulates the poison time. (Doesn't show -02 VIG or anything, just number of rounds of poison.)
2) Weapon poison inflicts poison, but with -02 VIG. It also add up to 19 rounds of poison but it does NOT accumulate. You cannot get 38 rounds of poison from weapon attacks alone.
3) If you mix these two skills, you will end up with -02 NIL for the poison affect. They're somehow different, yet affect the same thing (there will only be one poison effect listed under 'affects').
4) Applying poison onto a weapon with the slayer skill causes the weapon to disappear shortly after. It's also the only way for a player to poison a weapon. I don't know if this is intentional (poison disintegrating the weapon), or if it's a bug where the poison is supposed to be removed but the whole weapon ends up removed instead.

A poison weapon skill I've used before and sounds similar had an acid like effect and would eat away at the weapon until it disintegrated.

I can clarify that the weapon being destroyed once the poison expires is as it should be. Some items however are already pre-poisoned and will not be consumed. Other items have the ability to be poisoned but not be consumed.

Okay. Thank you guys for clearing that up. Let me refocus the problem I see.

I think they should either be two different 'poison' affects, or the code should be realigned so that dokkasou gives negative VIG (that is, there should only be one 'poison' affect in the code. Two poisons with different affects shouldn't merge into one affect.)
I think I would call this a bug(?)

Log from JARAXAL
You have to be poisoned by a weapon then dokk'ed for the -002 NIL to show up.
Affected: ( 2004) detect hidden
Affected: ( 170) poison [-002 NIL]

.txt extensions aren't allowed on the forums.

To confirm: poisoning someone with a weapon then Dokkasou causes the NIL bug?

Is it one way around, or does Dokkasou then weapon also work?

Jaraxal might need to confirm this, but I think weapon THEN dokkasou is the only way the -02 NIL shows up.
It's interesting that dokkasou doesn't subtract vigor.
It's also interesting that weapon poison doesn't 'add' to previous poisoned weapon hits. (not as interesting as dokkasou. This is probably by design)
