 Post subject: Wasted Attacks

I believe (IMO) I'm wasting attacks/round, and other players are too. My basis for this is simple; If I'm fighting 4 panther students, and I have 4 attacks in a round, I kill the student in 2 and lose 2 attacks for that round. Why not change this, so that if I kill my first oppponent in 2 hits, my next 2 carry over to the next mob in line. It makes more sense for a lvl 80 character to kill 4 lvl 20 opponents (just giving random lvls) in 1 - 2 rounds than 4 rounds, 1 for each opponent. Please let me hear your opinion on this, anyone.

Realistically you'd have to turn and face the other opponent and thus it would stop your barrage of attacks.

Ignoring that, what you're suggesting may take some deep changing of the fight code just to do that.

If anything, it'd probably be a skill. For example, look at Magic cards. You can't do that unless you have the "Trample" skill.

That was my next suggestion, make it a passive skill. If need be, set it with a lower max % like 70 - 80....or an even more drastic measure for fairness would be to give it a higher max % like 85 - 95, but on failing, it would cause the player to faulter, allowing the opponents to possibly inflict more damage for a round, or the player being unable to block and parry for that round aswell. I also would suggest that it could be a lvl 100 combatant skill. A master combatant would be able to assess and gauge his opponents better. These are all variations to the idea I've been thinking about. Let me hear your feedback again, Z.

This sounds a lot like the Cleave feat, in D&D. If you kill a person, you attack another person in the same round but with a lower hit chance.
