Are we suppost to auto wake? If we are should there be a sign that we did, like the room description, or
You wake up because:
You are STARVING
You are DIEING of THIRST

?

Yes, you are suppose to. But no, you shouldn't be shown the room description/etc because you didn't look.

Solution: Don't get hungry or thirsty.

It doesn't say I wake up.

If I command 'wake' I see the room description.

It doesn't say you wake up, correct. But you do, unintentionally due to the hunger.

Using the wake command shows the room description because you intended to wake up.

Oh, okay. Before I humiliate myself... are there more classes in the works?

Yes. We need areas though to put classes in, and we're lacking builders.

I've been looking into that mud that teaches building. I really need coding experiance, and to learn more useful codes other than 1/2 of html and one pathetic attempt at CSS.

Maybe I'm confused here.. what does coding, html, or css have to do with building?

Just wondering.. as someone who routinely deals with all of the above... (Smaug Building Institute only deals with building of those, btw.)

Building isn't coding. They are two different things. Where did you hear building was coding?

There are some mud codebases where building and coding are awfully hard to distinguish, but for most, including smaug, they are very different things. Arguably equal in importance and difficulty at times, but very distinct and quite different. The easiest and clearest distinction between the two is that most building is (or at least can) be done online, where coding can't be don't in-game at all as it deals with the code underlying the game.

Yeah, the only similar thing, if anything, to coding would be program creation on objects, mobiles, and rooms. But even then, I know for a fact, difficulty-wise, Coding is far more difficult. If anything, Hakuri, use the guide Zeno showed you, or make an attempt at joining SBI (Smaug Building Institute), or, contact me. I'd be happy to shed my bit of knowledge.
