I think I'm going to use Smaug seeing as that's the only one I've ever messed with....

Ah okay. In that case, check out SmaugFUSS:
http://smaugfuss.org/

It's Smaug except it just has many bugs fixed.

I downloaded SmaugFUSS, and I tried opening it with the compiler I have. A ton of code (what it looked like) came up, but I couldn't save it. It wouldn't let me add the file to the project.

You extracted it first right? What file did you try and open?

Yes, you have to extract that file. It's like a zip.

WinRAR should be able to extract it. I'll let you know now, Windows compilers most likely will not work with SmaugFUSS or any MUD for that matter. Which is why I suggested Cygwin. Anyways I'm off to work, leave some messages of what's going on for when I'll be back.

Hey, I got that WinRAR thing. Now I think it'll work. The SmaugFUSS codebase looks kind of like the SmaugWiz files. Well, I guess I'll go get to work.

You'll only be able to run it with Cygwin or a mud host, remember. You could attempt to compile and run it on a Windows compiler, but I doubt that'll work.

Hmm... I think I'll just wait for Sato to get out of the hospital. He's usually better at this kind of stuff than me.

Hmm neat, anyways You can get smaug to run in windows without Cygwin, but it is time consuming :) Just fiqured I'd inform you of that :) I messed with it before for fun to see what was the best way and all to go about doing it lol. I know its a late reply but just signed up on the forums today and fiqured I would reply lol.
